Background
A Researcher Who Builds Things
Ina's work began in research, studying how structured data connects people, content and services. Her MSc research explored how semantic technologies could improve the discovery and connection of community information. Her subsequent work with ontologies and Semantic Web technologies developed the same central question: how do you model what an organisation knows so that both people and machines can use it?
That question turned out to matter commercially. Businesses could not be found online because their information was unstructured and unclear. Ina founded Social Web Strategy to fix that, first through websites, search visibility and social platforms for Irish organisations.
Large language models changed what was possible, and introduced a new problem: assistants that answer confidently and wrongly. The research answer and the practical answer turned out to be the same one. Give the system a structured, verified model of the organisation's knowledge, and make it look things up rather than guess. That is what Social Web Strategy builds today.
2003 · Semantic Web foundations. Ina became involved in the Semantic Web community, developing a long-standing interest in how structured knowledge connects people, information and services.
2015 · Social Web Strategy founded. Ina established the company to help organisations improve their digital presence, discoverability and use of emerging technologies.
Today · Knowledge-driven AI. Social Web Strategy has expanded into knowledge graphs, ontologies and AI agents, helping organisations make their information more accessible and useful to intelligent systems.
What She Works on Now
Knowledge models for AI chat and voice assistants
Reducing wrong answers in customer-facing AI
Structured data that works for both Google and AI search tools
Practical AI adoption for Irish organisations, including the compliance side
How a Question Becomes an Answer
The assistant matches a question to the entities in your knowledge graph, then answers from what it finds.
How She Works With Clients
Every project is led directly by Ina, from the first call through discovery and into delivery. Specialists join for design, development or content where a project needs them. You will always know who is doing what, and you will never be handed to an account manager.
